Green Burials & Home Funerals In-Person

Did you know it is legal in every state to care for your own dead? Elisabeth Stokes, LISW-S & Deanna Miller, BSN, RN will explore traditional funerals vs industry led funerals, history of death care, celebrations and rituals, body care, green burials, and legalities. This session provides information about community led after-death care, which is when individuals who are not funeral directors decide to provide some form of after-death care and allows time to honor the life of the departed.

Handouts with resource links and information will be provided.

Registration is required and can be done by filling out the form below or by calling the library at 330-332-0042 for registration assistance.
